North Royalton HS/Sharks Agree to Affiliation

Cleveland, OH- The North Royalton Bears Hockey Association, in conjunction with the Brooklyn Youth Hockey Association (Cleveland Sharks), have announced a new affiliation agreement.

For North Royalton, the move brings stability and will provide a much-needed infusion of younger players who have developed in a quality organization. “We are thrilled to be working with the Sharks organization for the upcoming season and beyond,” said North Royalton Program Director Jeff McCarthy. “Part of building a championship-caliber team at the high school level is finding players that can make the leap quickly from the youth level to the high school game. The Sharks have built a reputation for being a highly competitive CSHL youth program, while helping players develop their games and progress to the next level.  This is a perfect situation for both organizations.”

For the Brooklyn Youth Hockey Association (Cleveland Sharks) this partnership provides a valuable piece, an established high school program, that completes the vison of Hockey Director, Adam Rich and President, Barry Conway. “Since 2011 we have worked tirelessly to build the Brooklyn Youth Hockey Association and bring them to the forefront of Cleveland Hockey and we are thrilled to begin our relationship with the North Royalton Bears Hockey Association,” remarked Sharks, Adam Rich. “They have a great passion and dedication to cultivating the depth of their organization, and we are proud to work with them to see this to fruition.   The greater benefit for the Sharks organization is that we are now able to provide our players a home for their entire youth hockey career.  In addition to our youth programs through the Brooklyn Youth Hockey Association and our pre/post tournament teams with the Cleveland Sharks we will now be able to offer a full season high school program with our partnership with North Royalton. This partnership ensures that we will be able provide our players a place to play from the U8 level on up through the High School level.”
